FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
- Extreme high fire danger conditions are expected over parts of the Northern Cape, the northern parts of the West Coast and Central Karoo Districts in the Western Cape, as well as the northern interior of the Eastern Cape Province.
ADVISORIES:
- A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected over Richersveld and Kamiesberg until Tuesday.
Gauteng:
Temperature: Fine and warm.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Fine and warm.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Fine and warm.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Fine and warm.
Free State:
Temperature: Fine and warm.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, but very hot over the south-western parts.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly, becoming fresh from the afternoon.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy with fog patches along the south coast and north of Cape Columbine in the morning where it will be cool as well as in places along the south-west coast, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but very hot over the central Karoo.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh east of George in the morning, becoming light northerly to north-westerly by the evening.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Cloudy and warm along the coast at times, otherwise fine and hot to very hot.
The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly to south-westerly, becoming fresh at times in the morning.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming cloudy along the south coast in the afternoon.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Fine and warm, but hot in places in the east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly, becoming moderate south-westerly from the south in the afternoon.
