Kevin Anderson charges into Round 3 in Indian Wells
South African tennis star Kevin Anderson has reached the third round at the ATP Tour’s Indian Wells tournament in the California desert.

Anderson beat 17th-seeded Italian Lorenzo Sonego in two tough tiebreakers, winning 7-6 (9/7), 7-6 (7/3).
The match lasted two hours and nine minutes.

Anderson, who moved up to 60th place in the live tennis rankings following his victory, will take on 14th-seeded Frenchman Gael Monfils in the next round on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Anderson’s compatriot Lloyd Harris faces sixth-seeded Norwegian Casper Ruud in his third round match later on Monday.
