And Chiefs’ failure to sign Victor Letsoalo from Bloemfontein Celtic, now Royal AM, as well as Luis Miquissone who joined Al Ahly, has come back to haunt them.

Nonetheless, Ndlanya said while he doesn’t want to pass judgment on players, some of them do well at certain teams but fail dismally once they join Chiefs.

Ndlanya said Letsoalo is a good player and perhaps he would have succeeded at Chiefs but he doesn’t think the team’s thinness upfront is the reason they are struggling.

The former Amakhosi marksman said the current players should stand up and be counted, and stop blaming the management for failing to sign a striker.

“I don’t want to judge players, but some may be good in other teams and when they come to Chiefs, which is a big club, they start to struggle,” Ndlanya told Sowetan.

“Letsoalo is a good player, maybe he would have succeeded at Chiefs but as I said, players who are currently here need to start helping the team by finding the back of the net,” he said.

“This happens all over the world where players get injured and others step up the plate,” added Ndlanya.

“I don’t think they are struggling because the strikers are out. I think the confidence at the moment is low since they are not getting results,” he continued.

“We’ve seen they can’t make a few passes together in matches, but I believe they will get it right soon,” concluded Ndlanya.
