FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions expected over Namakwa District, central and northern parts of the Northern Cape, Matzikama Municipality of the Western Cape and the north-western parts of the North-West province.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool but hot in the north. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy in places in the morning with fog patches along the escarpment, and in places in the Highveld, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but warm in the Lowveld. It will become fine in the afternoon.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool to warm with early morning drizzle along the escarpment, becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Morning fog patches in the north-east, otherwise fine and warm.

Free State:

Temperature: Morning fog patches in the north-east, otherwise fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the east.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fine and warm but cool over the southern high ground.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate becoming fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Morning mist in places over southern Cape Winelands, otherwise fine and warm to hot with high level clouds.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly to easterly but strong between Cape Point and Cape Agulhas in the morning.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Cloudy with fog in places over the southern interior in the morning, otherwise fine and warm, but cool along the coast and adjacent interior.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly, becoming strong in the afternoon.

The Eastern half Temperature: Cloudy with fog patches in places over the interior in the morning, otherwise fine and cool, but partly cloudy along the coast.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be light north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong in the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Cloudy at first with fog over the interior otherwise partly cloudy and cool.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly north of Durban at first otherwise easterly to north-easterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.
