NANDI MADIDA: ‘OF COURSE IT IS ORIGINAL’

Zakes Bantwini’s wife Nandi Madida appeared on the latest episode of Drink or Tell the Truth hosted by social media personality Lasizwe Dambuza. On the show she revealed that Osama is an original and hinted that Black Coffee should seek therapy.

“Your opinion about your husband’s hit song Osama, our favourite DJ, DJ Black Coffee said your husband’s song is not original,” says Lasizwe.

“So, what’s the question?” Asks Nandi.

“The question is, is your husband’s song original? And how did it make you feel when international Black Coffee said that song is not an original one?” asks Lasizwe.

Nandi Madida politely responded saying that Osama is indeed an original song and took the high road explaining that it is meant for positive vibes.

“First of all I’ll answer the first part, Of course it is original. It was original and how I felt about that I think, without entertaining it, the song is a reflection of where everyone should be. We should all be positive, we should all be happy for one another. Especially for black people, we cannot afford to divide and rule,” replied Nandi.

Lasizwe then interrupted Nandi and asked her not to give him a beauty pageant answer and went on to ask how she felt when Black Coffee said the song was not original. Nandi Madida then hinted Black Coffee should seek therapy.

“It’s funny because I speak to my sister all the time. For those who don’t know, my sister is a psychiatrist. I think it’s important for the people watching. A lot of us have childhood traumas and we need to review and seek help and therapies and whatever,” she continued.

Nandi Madida also ranked her husband as number two when asked who she thought was the best between Zakes Bantwini, DJ Maphorisa and Black Coffee. DJ Maphorisa was her number one pick and Black Coffee in the third spot.
