“The coach has all our (SAFA) support. We have hope again and we have newness in a team in terms of staff and new when I speak of the players, some of them are very young and already playing international football,” said Jordaan.
“What we will demand is qualification for the next AFCON (Africa Cup of Nations) and the next World Cup and we have faith that we can manage that with the calibre of coach that we have.”
Jordaan concluded by saying he believes that if Friday’s encounter yields a positive result that it would be the rebirth of Bafana Bafana, adding that he had wished them all the best with the belief that they’re more than capable of qualifying for Qatar 2022.
Kick-off on Friday is at 15:00 SA time.
Bafana Bafana will host Ghana at the FNB Stadium on Monday, 6 September in their second Group G 2022 Soccer World Cup qualifier at 18:00.
