(Watch) Bafana legend sends Luther Singh classy FC Copenhagen welcome
Bafana Bafana legend Sibusiso Zuma has sent Luther Singh a classy welcome message, after he became the latest South African to sign for his former club FC Copenhagen.
Singh was formally announced and unveiled by Copenhagen on their social media on Wednesday morning, but not without the help of Zuma.
Zuma helped his former side with the announcement
Zuma, himself one of two South African internationals to have plied their trade for Copenhagen together with Elrio van Heerden, is regarded as a club legend at the side, where he is still absolutely revered by the Danish outfit’s fanbase. Zuma who made all of 145 appearances for the club, netting 40 times in the process, will be hoping Singh can make a similar impact.

With the club determined not to miss the opportunity to make use of the obvious South African connection between Singh and Zuma, they asked their former Bafana Bafana international winger to introduce their new Bafana Bafana winger, as they looked to announce his signing in style.
“Ntwana (youngster) I just heard the news that you are joining FC Copenhagen, I’m so happy and excited for you. It’s an amazing city and club and they love South Africans. So just make sure that you enjoy every moment of this journey. Respect your teammates, respect the club and give the fans your best, good luck mfethu (brother)” said Zuma in a video Singh watched on his phone.
Zuma wasn’t done there though, and left Singh with a cheeky piece of advice.

“Oh! and one more thing… don’t forget to practice your scissor kick (laughs)”. Said Zuma in reference to his famous goal for Copenhagen which was voted the Best Danish Superliga goal of the decade in 2009 and ultimately the greatest moment in the history of the club. No pressure then Singh.
He will look to build his own legacy at the club
Singh has joined the club on a four-year deal from Portuguese topflight side FC Braga, in a deal reportedly worth 1.5 million Euros ( R26,31 million). He now joins Gift Links, his former South Africa youth team teammate who turns out for AGF Aarhus in the Danish Superliga.
