Lionel Messi’s arrival in Paris caused a stir as was evident by the number of fans who gathered at the airport and the Parc des Princes where he is set to be unveiled on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old has elected to wear the No 30 jersey – the same number he wore when he made his Barcelona debut.
This comes despite reports suggesting Brazilian star Neymar had offered to give up his No 10 number.

The Sun reported that both Messi’s home and away jerseys sold out in under 20 minutes after they were announced on the club’s official store.
