Kaizer Chiefs fans were left fuming with their captain Bernard Parker after he failed to convert a rather simple chance in the Amakhosi’s 2-1 victory over Baroka FC.
Bernard Parker was named as the Amakhosi’s captain this evening in the absence of Itumeleng Khune however after a rather underwhelming performance, many fans were left frustrated with the veteran.

“We think at the moment with Bernard being the senior player, he’s the most suitable for that,” Kaizer Chiefs head coach Baxter confirmed as quoted by kick-off.
“If we move down the line and someone really puts his hand up then we’ll rethink but we think Itu is the captain when he plays and at the moment Bernard is the vice-captain of Kaizer Chiefs.”
Today’s victory for Kaizer Chiefs over Baroka FC means Stuart Baxter’s side climb to the top half of the table. They’ve now picked up four points from their opening two matches.
They’ll next be in action after the upcoming international break when they face arch rivals Mamelodi Sundowns on 12 September 2021!
