FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the western parts of the Namakwa District of the Northern Cape as well as Matzikama Municipality of the Western Cape

ADVISORIES:

  1. Morning frost is expected in places over southern Gauteng, Free State, eastern part of the Northern Cape, northern part of the Eastern Cape and western part of KwaZulu-Natal.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Morning frost in places, otherwise fine and cold

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Fine and cold to cool, becoming cloudy in the east in the afternoon.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm, becomimg partly cloudy in the east in the afternoon.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and cold.

Free State:

Temperature: Morning frost in places, otherwise fine and very cold to cold.

Northern Cape:

East temperature: Morning frost in places in the east, otherwise fine and cold but cool along the coast with possible light to moderate sandstorm from mid-morning into the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong northeasterly, becoming moderate easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Frosty areas at first, otherwise fine and cool but warm over the northern West Coast District interior.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to northeasterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Morning frost and fog is expected in places over the interior, otherwise fine and cold but cloudy in the southeast during the morning.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northeasterly, reaching strong in places from the afternoon.

The Eastern half Temperature: Morning frost and fog is expected in places over the interior, otherwise fine and cold but cloudy with light morning rain in places along the north coast.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be light northwesterly in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh northeasterly, reaching strong in places from late afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool but very cold over south-western part. Isolated showers are expected along the coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
