FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the western parts of the Namakwa District of the Northern Cape as well as Matzikama Municipality of the Western Cape

ADVISORIES:

  1. Morning frost is expected in places over southern Gauteng, Free State, eastern part of the Northern Cape, northern part of the Eastern Cape and western part of KwaZulu-Natal.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Morning frost in places, otherwise fine and cold

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Fine and cold to cool, becoming cloudy in the east in the afternoon.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm, becomimg partly cloudy in the east in the afternoon.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and cold.

Free State:

Temperature: Morning frost in places, otherwise fine and very cold to cold.

Northern Cape:

East temperature: Morning frost in places in the east, otherwise fine and cold but cool along the coast with possible light to moderate sandstorm from mid-morning into the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong northeasterly, becoming moderate easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Frosty areas at first, otherwise fine and cool but warm over the northern West Coast District interior.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to northeasterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Temperature: Morning frost and fog is expected in places over the interior, otherwise fine and cold but cloudy in the southeast during the morning.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northeasterly, reaching strong in places from the afternoon.

The Eastern half – Temperature: Morning frost and fog is expected in places over the interior, otherwise fine and cold but cloudy with light morning rain in places along the north coast.

The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light northwesterly in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh northeasterly, reaching strong in places from late afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool but very cold over south-western part. Isolated showers are expected along the coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
