Kaizer Chiefs-bound midfielder leaves Indian club Odisha
Bafana Bafana midfielder Cole Alexander has officially parted ways with Indian Super League club Odisha FC to pave way for a move to Kaizer Chiefs.

Alexander is expected to join Chiefs and reunite with his former coach at Odisha, Stuart Baxter, at Naturena before the start of the season.
Odisha confirmed Alexander’s departure from the club on Friday night, just hours after he was linked with a possible move to Chiefs.

Alexander had a year left on his contract with Odisha but the two parties came to an agreement to part ways.
However, this was after both Alexander and Odisha agreed on a release fee which made it possible for them to terminate his contract, the club said in a statement.

“Odisha FC and Cole Alexander have decided to mutually part ways,” reads part of the statement on the club website.
“Both parties reached an agreement over an undisclosed release fee, enabling Cole and the Club to trigger a mutual termination of the contract,” added the statement.

Alexander, 32, isn’t new to the PSL having played for a number of clubs prior to his departure to India in 2020.
He featured for Polokwane City, Ajax Cape Town and Bidvest Wits before moving abroad where he was signed by Baxter.
