Must-watch: Kids react to seeing SNOW for the first time in Kimberley
Radio presenter Ashmund Martin shared a heartwarming video of a group of school children and their reaction to seeing snow for the first time in Kimberley on 23 July. If you haven’t seen it as yet and you’re looking for something to warm your soul, you’ve come to the right place.
‘COLDEST DAY OF THE YEAR’ AS SNOW GRACES KIMBERLEY
It’s been a cold few days in South Africa, with snowfall even reaching as far as Kimberley in the Northern Cape and not many areas in Mzansi experience snow. You’re more likely to see snow in the Western Cape, and if you live close to the Drakensberg and Lesotho but catching hail is the closest you may get to snowfall in other provinces.
Forecasters billed Thursday, 22 July as South Africa’s “coldest day of the year” with snowfall covering the Eastern Cape and surprisingly, the city of Kimberley in the Northern Cape.
Martin shared a video of a group of school children reacting to seeing the snow for the first time on his Twitter account and they are filled to the brim with excitement as they run around. A priceless reaction, we would say. The snow video eventually racked up close to 60 000 views and over 2 400 likes.
