Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu sign 2 players from KwaZulu-Natal rivals Maritzburg United
AmaZulu have revealed their first two new signings ahead of the upcoming 2021/22 DStv Premiership season.

Usuthu enjoyed a superb season last campaign where they shocked friend and foe by finishing in second place behind champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Their reward for doing so is a place in this season’s CAF Champions League.
In a bid to bolster their squad, head coach Benni McCarthy has confirmed that Mxolisi Kunene and Keagan Buchanan have both joined the club from from fellow KwaZulu-Natal side, Maritzburg United.

Kunene, 29, is a former Moroka Swallows and Baroka winger, while Buchanan, also 29, previously represented both Bloemfontein Celtic and Kaizer Chiefs.
An AmaZulu statement on Friday read: “We want to thank you for your support. We felt the love from you and we going in full force in the CAF Champions League this season. We will do our best and make you proud in all the competitions from MTN8 to the League title.
“The team is looking very good, they fit, two new boys Keagan Buchanan and Mxolisi Kunene look good and they’ve settled well into the team.
“Kunene is easy on himself as he just came out from a long injury, he suffered from his time at Maritzburg United.”
AmaZulu are expected to name a host of more signings in early August.
