Kaizer Chiefs are currently ninth in the log, but as luck will have it, face eighth-placed TS Galaxy in their final fixture of the season.

While TS Galaxy are currently three points ahead of Amakhosi, a win for the Naturena-based side will see them leapfrog their opponents into that coveted final top-half of the table spot.

Kaizer Chiefs have won only seven of their 29 matches this season, while losing 10 and drawing 12 for 33 total points. They have scored 33 goals and conceded 37 for a negative four goal differential.

Meanwhile, TS Galaxy have won nine matches, lost 11 and drawn nine for 36 points. They too have a negative four goal differential after scoring 26 goals, but having leaked 30.

Eighth place overall would mean a daunting first round MTN8 clash against champions Mamelodi Sundowns, but Kaizer Chiefs will settle for that having looked for large parts of the season dead and buried in terms of a spot in the tournament.
