Jose Mourinho had a message for Dylan Kerr before Nedbank Cup final!
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila head coach Dylan Kerr has revealed what his close fan Jose Mourinho told him hours before his side went on to lift a maiden major trophy.
Dylan Kerr’s Tshakhuma side made their debut in the PSL’s top flight this season after purchasing Bidvest Wits’ Premiership status and after an extremely woeful start, the Thohoyandou based side lifted the Nedbank Cup on Saturday evening.
Dylan Kerr has since revealed he has close relationship with legendary Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho who was recently announced as AS Roma’s new coach after being sacked by English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspurs.

“When I did my SFA coaching badge at Largs, Jose Mourinho was on the same course and we’ve kept in touch through email,” Kerr told The Scottish Sun.
“I sent him a message this week telling him we were in the final and he sent one back saying, ‘Come on, I wish you the best and take the cup home.’”

Jose Mourinho is no stranger to South African football and keeps a constant tab on his former striker Benni McCarthy who is the current head coach of the high-flying AmaZulu FC. The two went on to conquer European football together by winning the UEFA Champions League with Portuguese giants FC Porto.
Mourinho recently made headlines in South Africa after he commented “my striker is now coach of the month!!!!” on a Benni McCarthy Instagram post celebrating his DStv Premiership Coach of the Month award last month.
Jose Mourinho has managed some of the world’s biggest clubs like FC Porto, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Tottenham while winning trophies at all barring the London based outfit.
