Springbok hooker set to leave Stormers and follow Siya Kolisi to the Sharks
Springbok hooker Bongi Mbonambi is expected to complete his move from the Stormers to the Sharks imminently.

According to an article in Sunday’s Rapport it’s only a matter of ‘when” rather than “if” the 30-year-old confirms he’ll be leaving the Cape to join former national and provincial skipper Siya Kolisi up the coast in Durban.
Mbonambi had delayed signing a new deal with the Stormers, requesting more time to consider his future.

Mbonambi also appears set to add his name to the growing number of Roc Nation clients. The president of the Jay Z-founded organisation, Michael Yormack, has strong ties to the Sharks.
The Stormers have re-signed Scarra Ntubeni while Chad Solomon, JJ Kotze and promising Maties hooker Andre-Hugo Venter – the son of former Springbok great Andre Venter – are also options in the middle of the front row.

In addtion, there have been reports that the Stormers were looking to lure one of Malcolm Marx or Joseph Dweba to the Mother City.
The signing of Mbonambi will be another major coup for the Sharks – at the expense of the Stormers.
The 36-Test veteran would certainly bolster the KwaZulu-Natal side’s tight five with some experience and firepower.
