Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly win to close gap on rivals Zamalek
Al Ahly striker Mohamed Sherif scored a brace in his side’s crucial 2-1 over Al Masry in their race for the Egyptian Premier League title.

In the 11th minute Al Ahly youngster Ahmed Nabil Koka played a long ball to Mohamed Sherif who found himself one-on-one with goalkeeper Ahmed Daador.
The ball hit the shot-stopper but rebounded to Sherif who put it into the empty net.
In first-half extra-time Omar Kamal scored the equaliser from a corner to make the score 1-1 at the break.

Al Ahly had to wait until the 63rd minute when Mohamed Sherif scored the winner.
Akram Tawfik received the ball inside the penalty area and passed it to his team-mate on the edge of the six-yard box who smashed it past the ‘keeper.

With their win Al Ahly moved to within three points of log leaders Zamalek and still have two matches in hand.
Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly will next be in action at home against El Gouna on Friday, April 30.
