  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central and south-eastern parts of Northern Cape.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Morning fog patches on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers. It will be hot over the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Morning fog patches over the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers over the eastern parts.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine in the east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers except in the east.

Free State:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers except in the extreme south-west.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog along the coast and adjacent interior, otherwise fine and cool, but partly cloudy and warm to hot in the east with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the north-eastern parts.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly, becoming fresh to strong by the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to warm, otherwise cloudy with isolated showers and rain along the south western parts and the south coast, clearing from the west by the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly along the south coast at first, otherwise light to moderate southerly to south-easterly becoming fresh to strong in the Betty’s bay area in the afternoon, spreading to Plettenberg Bay by the evening.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

The Western halfTemperature: Morning fog in places over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and rain in the east and south, but scattered in the south-east.

The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong westerly at first, otherwise moderate south-westerly, becoming fresh easterly by the afternoon.

The Eastern halfTemperature: Morning fog south of the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the east and along the coast.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be fresh north-easterly north of Coffee Bay at first, otherwise fresh to strong south-westerly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog over the interior otherwise, partly cloudy and warm, becoming cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers but
scattered in the extreme south-west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly, becoming south-westerly in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
