Kevin Anderson bows out in Round 1 of Miami Open

South Africa’s Kevin Anderson lost in the first round of the Miami Open on Thursday against Bosnia’s Damir Dzumhur.

Kevin Anderson, who was originally scheduled to play Thiago Monteiro until the Brazilian pulled out with an injury, lost 7-6 (8/6), 7-5 to “lucky loser” Dzumhur.

Meanwhile, South Africa’s No 1-ranked male singles player Lloyd Harris will face Spanish seventh-seed Roberto Bautista Agut on Friday in the second round.
