In the matches Bafana Bafana have managed to score 270 goals while conceding 142.

Their first international was a 1-0 win over Cameroon in Durban on July 7, 1992 as Doctor Khumalo scored the match-winner from the penalty spot.

The next nearly 29 years have seen them play 393 matches in total (W171 D115 L107) across friendlies, qualifiers and finals tournaments.

Understandably 2020 was Bafana Bafana’s least active 12 months with only four fixtures played due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bafana Bafana will be hoping hope for at least a point against Ghana although the tournament rule of tiebreakers being decided by head-to-head results means Bafana Bafana realistically will just need to avoid defeat in their final match away to Sudan in order to qualify for the 2022 AFCON in Cameroon early next year.
