Severe Weather Alerts
IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
- Yellow (level 2) warning for wind with possible impacts including difficulty in navigation and risk of taking on water for personal water craft as well as the small vessels is expected along the coast between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
- Extremely high veld fire conditions expected over the central parts of the Northern Cape.

Gauteng:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Cloudy in the east with fog on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm. Isolated afternoon thundershowers are expected in the south-west and the extreme Western Highveld.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Cloudy in the east and north with fog on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the Western Bushveld as well as in the north and Lowveld areas.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.
Free State:
Temperature: Morning fog in the east where it will be cool, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon thundershowers.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Morning for along the coast, otherwise fine and warm but hot over the interior. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon with isolated thundershowers over the interior.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-westerly.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy in the south coast in the morning, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot over the northern parts of the West Coast District. It will become partly cloudy in the north-east with isolated afternoon thundershowers.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly-easterly to easterly reaching gale between Table Bay and Betty’s Bay.

Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Cloudy in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon thundershowers in the north.
The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be Fresh to strong easterly.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Morning fog in places on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon thundershowers over the northern interior.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh easterly becoming north easterly overnight.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon thundershowers in the extreme western and south-western high ground.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate easterly to north-easterly but south to south-easterly in the north of Durban.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
