Severe Weather Alerts
IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
- Yellow (level 2) warning for disruptive rainfall is expected over the south-eastern parts of Limpopo which may result in localized flooding and poor driving conditions.
- Yellow (level 2) warning for wind with possible impact including difficulty and risk of taking on water for personal water craft and small vessels is expected between Cape Columbine and Cape Hangklip from the afternoon.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Cape Metropole District (W.Cape) and Kamiesberg Municipality (N.Cape).

Gauteng:
Temperature: Morning fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Cloudy in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool with widespread showers and thundershowers but scattered in the extreme west. It will be warm in the Lowveld.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Cloudy in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the north and widespread in the extreme southeast.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the east.
Free State:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the northeast with morning fog patches.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy in the northern coastline in the morning with fog, where it will be cool, otherwise fine and warm to hot.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Fine and hot in the north-western part, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but cloudy at times along the south coast with morning light rain in places.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, reaching gale between Cape Columbine and Cape Hangklip from the afternoon into the evening.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Cool with light morning rain along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and warm.
The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southeasterly, but easterly from late afternoon.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain in the south and north, but scattered in the extreme east.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light westerly east of East London at first, otherwise moderate southeasterly to southerly.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Cloudy and cool with widespread showers and thundershowers but scattered over the southwestern part.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.
