Orlando Pirates in Group A with former African champions
Orlando Pirates have been drawn in Group A of the CAF Confederation Cup group stages alongside some of the toughest opponents on the continent.
The Buccaneers have two former CAF Confederation Cup champions in Enyimba of Nigeria and ES Setif of Algeria.

Enyimba are former continental champions with two CAF Champions League titles to their name.
The Nigerian giants won back-to-back Champions League trophies in 2003 and 2004.
They were semi-finalists of the same continental competition in 2008 and 2011, and things have not going for them in CAF Champions League since then.
Enyimba are yet to lift the CAF Confederation Cup – the closest they could come to winning it was in 2018 when they crashed out in the semi-finals.

Like Enyimba, Setif also won the CAF Champions League on two separate occasions in 1988 and 2014.
The Algeria-based outfit reached the semi-finals in 2018.
In the CAF Confederation Cup, Setif’s best run was in 2009 when they went all the way to the final only to walk away with silver medals.
It is with noting that Setif, were also crowned CAF Super Champions in 2015, meaning they are a tough team to come up against.

Josef Zinnbauer’s men will also travel to Libya as Al Ahly Benghazi were also drawn in Group A.
According to CAF, the group stage matches will get underway on March 10 with the final matches expected to wrapped up no later than April 28.
