Nedbank Cup quarter-final draw: One heavyweight battle and one GladAfrica side to win

The draw for the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals has thrown up some interesting match-ups in the last 8 stage.

The final eight teams left in the competition was confirmed after Chippa United eliminated Cape Town City at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

There will be a Limpopo derby in the quarter-finals when Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila take on Black Leopards.

In potentially the tie of the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals, Orlando Pirates, who rallied from behind to knock out Maritzburg United 3-1, will do battle against against the winner of the outstanding Last 16 clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Polokwane City.

That match was unable to be played this past weekend due to Mamelodi Sundowns’ CAF Champions League commitments.

There will be at least one GladAfrica Championship side in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals after Cape Town All Stars were drawn against Pretoria Callies.
