The 25-year-old from Ga-Madisha village in Zebediela, Limpopo, died when the vehicle in which he was travelling crashed and burst into flames on the Zuurfontein Road near Chloorkop on 12 December, 2020.
The crash also claimed the life of Motjeka Madisha’s childhood friend, Thabang Martin Kakase.
Madisha’s death was only confirmed this past weekend, nearly 50 days after the tragic incident.
“Saturday, February 6 2021, is the date that has been set for the funeral and it will be held in Ga-Madisha Leolo, Zebediela (Limpopo Province). Due to the lockdown regulations, only a few people will be allowed to attend the funeral,” read a statement from Sundowns.
“Ace”, as Madisha was affectionately known, played his last match for Mamelodi Sundowns in their 3-0 DStv Premiership win over Stellenbosch on 28 November 2020, which was his 99th domestic match.
In those 99 matches, Madisha scored three goals.
He also played 24 matches and scored three goals in the CAF Champions League bringing his total for Mamelodi Sundowns to 123 matches and six goals.
