Following his matriculation, he moved to Durban where he played for the Sharks’ under-19 side at hooker.
A move to the USA between 2016-2019 followed where Wesley White trained with the USA Eagles Sevens side.
However, representing the USA on the international stage didn’t materialise.

Now back in South Africa, Wesley White is hoping to don the Blitzboks jersey in what promises to be a busy period ahead.
“My dream is to get a contract and run out for the Blitzboks,” Wesley White confirmed.
“There’s the Olympic Games on the horizon, but I think they (Blitzbok coaches) already have an idea of how that team will look.
“But there I also a World Cup (Sevens Rugby World Cup in Cape Town in 2022) which lies ahead and that may be a more realistic goal,” Wesley White admitted.
Meanwhile, Jake White, who coached the Springboks to victory at the 2007 Rugby World Cup, is coming off a winning Currie Cup season with the Bulls as they prepare for the Rainbow Cup, which, as it currently stands, is due to kick off in April.
