Dan Carter’s incredible record against the Springboks
All Blacks legend Dan Carter brought the curtain down on his incredible career on Saturday, hanging up his boots at the age of 38.

Rugby’s history books is littered with the name ‘Dan Carter’ such was his dominance at Super Rugby level and on the international stage.
A glance at Dan Carter’s records (thanks Wikipedia) shows that he’s the Super Rugby and Test points record holder.
Dan Carter scored 1 708 points in 141 matches for the Crusaders (average 12 points per match) and 1 598 points in 112 Tests for the All Blacks (average 14 points).

But how did Dan Carter fare against the Springboks? Very well!
In 19 matches in total, he ended up on the winning side no fewer than 15 times for a win-record of 79%.
In those 19 matches, Carter scored 3 tries and kicked 55 penalties, 33 conversions and 3 drop goals for a total of 255 points at an average of 13.4 points per match.
And in one of those Tests he came on as a substitute and didn’t take a shot at goal!
