Thanks to goals from Thembinkosi Lorch and Siphesihle Ndlovu, the Buccaneers won 2-1 at the Orlando Stadium.

Daniel Cardoso pulled a goal back for Amakhosi with five minutes remaining, but it was a case of too little, too late in the end, handing Orlando Pirates a third Soweto derby win of the season.

Post-match Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt said his side should’ve won “quite comfortably” – and a look at the official match stats suggests he may have a point.

Kaizer Chiefs dominated every stat category, but walked away empty-handed.

Sport can be cruel!
