Preview | Sundowns on revenge mission against Bloem Celtic – 19 January
Reigning PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns are focused on their grudge match against Bloemfontein Celtic.
The Brazilians host Siwelele at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Tuesday, 19 January and will be looking to extend their advantage over Swallows FC at the top of the table.
Currently, Sundowns and Swallows are tired on 25 log points, with the Brazilians only ahead due to their superior goal difference (+14 v +9).
The last time Sundowns lost a match was against Bloemfontein Celtic in the MTN8 quarter-finals last year.

“It’s a tricky affair, it’s a tricky game,” said Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi ahead of the chance to get revenge against Celtic.
“They are a hard-running team. They are the ones that took us out of the MTN8. We know the quality they present in attacking play and their structure is a little bit awkward.
“It’s not going be an easy game. That team is good and they have not been doing exceptionally well and they are a little bit more dangerous when they are like that.
“You will want them to come with momentum but when they are struggling they are more dangerous against big teams and cause problems.”
