FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the southern parts of the West Coast and Cape Metropole Districts of the Western Cape.

ADVISORIES:

  1. Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions over the eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated thundershowers in the north-western Highveld later.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with isolated showers and rain, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Free State:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers except in the extreme north-east.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog along thde coast where it will be cool, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the central and eastern parts.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to southeasterly, freshening in the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot over the West Coast and Cape Metropole, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and cool to warm with isolated to scattered showers and rain along the south coast from the morning. Isolated to scattered thundershowers are expected over the Little and Central Karoo from the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly but strong to near Gale between Hermanus and Cape Columbine.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

The Western halfTemperature: Partly cloudy to cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly.

The Eastern halfTemperature: Partly cloudy to cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable at first, otherwise light south-easterly, becoming south-westerly along the Wild Coast in the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot but humid in the east, becoming partly cloudy to cloudy in the afternoon. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected in the south-west, otherwise isolated except in the north-east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming moderate south-westerly south of Durban towards afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
