SAFA president Danny Jordaan issues festive season wish as 2020 closes
Danny Jordaan knows as well as anyone that 2020 has been a traumatic year around the world due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
2020 HAS BEEN A CHALLENGING YEAR – JORDAAN
It’s been a challenging and emotional 12 months for the South African football fraternity who have tragically had to mourn the loss of a number of lives.
With the domestic DStv Premiership campaign on a break until Saturday, January 2, South African Football Association (SAFA) president Danny Jordaan has urged South Africans to be disciplined over the festive season and to adhere to the regulations and protocols during the pandemic.
“Be disciplined in whatever you do, don’t drink and drive, never over-indulge and wash your hands regularly, sanitise, keep social distance and always wear your mask in public,” he said on SAFA’s official website.
In remembering the lives lost this season, such as Anele Ngcongca and Motjeka Madisha, Danny Jordaan said, “This has been a very sad year as we lost several members of the game and those that were closely related to the game. May their souls rest in peace.”
