One of SA’s ‘most wanted criminals’ arrested in Northern Cape
Northern Cape authorities have managed to track down one of the country’s most wanted men after evading arrest for months over crimes committed in 2016 and 2019 respectively.
Northern Cape police spokesperson, Olebogeng Tawana, says the suspect who has been named by police as Nicholas Manci was tracked down by authorities to Kuruman where he was arrested on Tuesday – in possession of a toy BB gun.
Manci is facing murder, robbery, kidnapping, assault charges
Manci is the main suspect in a murder, aggravated robbery and kidnapping case, which was committed in the small town of Daniëlskuil circa March 2019. The accused’s alleged criminal activity crosses provincial lines, with him also being sought in connection with a separate assault incident in Middelburg located in Mpumalanga.
According to Tawana, a warrant for Manci’s arrest was issued after he failed to make his court appearance in relation to a case already sitting in the Kimberley High Court, Tawana does not elaborate further on the details of said case.
