- A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected over the Lowveld areas of Limpopo and Mpumalanga until at least Monday.
Gauteng:
Temperature: Fine and hot but warm in places, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers in the afternoon.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot but very hot in the Lowveld. It will become partly cloudy from the west with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme south.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy from the west from afternoon.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Fine and hot, but very hot in the north, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the afternoon.
Free State:
Temperature: Fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers except for the southern parts.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy with light rain in the south at first where it will be cold, otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot in the east where it become partly cloudy from
the afternoon.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-westerly becoming light from evening.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Fine and warm in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but cloudy with light to moderate rain along the coast and adjacent areas.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-westerly reaching gale force between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas until late evening.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Fine and hot, but warm in the south, becoming cloudy with light rain in places along the coast in the evening.
The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be Light north westerly, becoming moderate south westerly from the late morning.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Fine and hot, but partly cloudy and warm over the coastal regions, becoming cloudy with light rain in places in the evening.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be Light north westerly, becoming moderate south westerly from the late morning.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Partly cloudy along the coast at first otherwise fine and warm but hot to very hot over the interior. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon with
isolated showers and thundershowers except in the north-east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly in the north otherwise southerly to south-easterly, becoming south-westerly in the afternoon.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
