Flights to Botswana resume as borders reopen

Botswana eager to welcome back tourists
Botswana has been desperate to welcome back tourists whose numbers have dropped hugely as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Home to one of the world’s most amazing natural phenomena — the Okavango Delta — along with world-renowned national parks and abundant wildlife in Africa, Botswana remains one of Africa’s top tourist destinations — even though the tough job of restoring tourism has only just begun.
Custodian of wildlife-packed destinations, such as the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, Chobe National Park and of course the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park which borders South Africa and Namibia, Botswana is an ideal destination for discerning safari travellers and wildlife aficionados.
Botswana offers some of the best safari and wildlife experiences in the world, with a plethora of options to choose from.
Botswana’s breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife await
Travelers to Botswana can choose from a variety of accommodation options, ranging from five-star hotels, luxury safari camps and lodges, to budget guesthouses, backpacking facilities and camping grounds, along with tailor-made safaris and experiences for every budget.
Safari wonderland with world-class parks
Venture into the Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pans National Parks to see mega-herds of wildebeest, zebra and other game that migrate here annually in search of permanent water and stable food supplies.
Or soak up the breath-taking mosaic of lily-covered wetlands, shimmering floodplains, open grassland, and dense forests of Moremi in the Okavango, also home to a myriad of game all year round.
Savuti camp, in a remote area of the Chobe National Park, is famous for raw, dramatic game viewing due to its horizonless landscapes, plentiful wildlife and a full cast of predators.
See Botswana’s famous black-maned lions and desert elephants
Head north into the arid landscapes of the Kalahari to experience the full extent of Botswana’s diversity. This windswept region features vast dunes and salt pans home to a unique population of desert-adapted plants and animals, including black-maned Kalahari lions and large herds of desert-roaming elephants.
Botswana has it all when it comes to awe-inspiring landscapes, spectacular wildlife and game-viewing, rich cultures, and accommodation to suit all budgets and tastes.
This resilient country is working hard to restore its vital tourism industry while also keeping visitors safe amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
