KZN woman fights-off kidnappers – twice – in harrowing ordeal

A pedestrian in Ottawa, KZN has emerged unscathed from an attempted kidnapping on Sunday. The victim, who has had her identify obscured, explained that she was targeted by a pair of suspects that tried to snatch her from the street twice.

The would-be target revealed that she had been stalked by a vehicle driving slowly alongside her. A man then emerged from the car, instructing her to climb into the car. She refused, and this led to a physical confrontation. The woman was able to escape the clutches of the kidnappers, but her ordeal did not end there.

The vehicle pursued the woman, believed to be in her twenties, and caught up to her at an industrial site. The same man attempted to grab the woman again, but this time, witnesses were able to intervene. KZN’s Reaction Unit South Africa were the first responders to the incident, and they confirmed that the victim was – thankfully – uninjured after this traumatic event.

“As she continued to walk along the main the driver of the vehicle – a white VW Citi Golf with an ND registration – stopped the car and approached her.
