Yoghurt Marinated Chicken Sosaties to spice up your braai
We love to braai! We love it so much that we do it at least twice a week. This has made us look for alternative recipes to traditional favourites that we can spice up and get creative with. That is how we came up with this recipe of chicken sosaties marinated in yoghurt.
At our house a braai is more than just a quick fire, instead it is a time of togetherness and probably our family’s most precious hangouts. We spend hours talking, laughing and just enjoying the fire, especially now that it is winter and everyone is eager to stay warm. This has occasionally lead to us eating much later than we intended to. So, as a good snack to boost the energy and morale we prepared these succulent delights to enjoy as a quick bite.
In fact, the last time we made these we actually didn’t end up making any other food. These chicken stuffed with bacon, pineapple and red pepper sosaties were so filling we couldn’t imagine eating more food.
Not a chicken sosatie fan? Think again.
These traditional South African juicy meat sticks are more than meet the eye. If prepared and cooked as instructed in this recipe below, I can guarantee that you’ll be making these more often than you expect. Who knows, you may actually find that inner creative spark to make your own version with your family. However, if you do, don’t forget to tag us in your photos because we love to see what you come up with.
Okay, enough talking let’s get prepping, after all these chicken sosaties aren’t going to make themselves!
