V&A Waterfront introduces new drive-through pick-up service
The V&A Waterfront in Cape Town is said to be the first mall in South Africa to introduce smart enabling technology to their offerings with a new, speedy drive-through “conveniently designed” for those “who love to shop online but are seldomly at home to collect the delivery”.
An ‘efficient pick-up service’
Yes, the V&A Waterfront recently introduced a ‘click, collect and go’ service. In collaboration with Pargo, this service will give shoppers the chance to buy various items online and simply pick it up from the collection point. The designated pick up point is situated outside Entrance 1, in front of Tashas Restaurant. It is reportedly easy to spot, easy to access and is safely manned throughout the mall’s retail hours.
“For a painless and seamless process, we have partnered with Pargo, South Africa’s leading click and collect service provider to handover your parcel at the designated pick up point,” the Waterfront states on their website. “This easy-to-use service allows you to enjoy shopping at your favourite participating stores, with the added advantage of an efficient collection service.”
How it works:
This is how the process will work: Go to your favourite V&A Waterfront store’s online shop, fill your basket and head to the checkout then select ‘Pargo V&A Drive Through’ as your preferred delivery method.
This service was ultimately implemented in order for customers to “skip the queues and maintain their social distance when they browse, order and pay online”.
Pargo’s Smart Logistics technology will allow you to track your purchase after which they will notify you when the parcel is ready for collection.
“We think you’re going to love this smart, virtual way of click and collect shopping,” organisers states further. “Now, you can experience all the benefits of retail therapy without leaving your vehicle!”
Participating stores currently include Cape Union Mart, Sportscene, Fabiani, Foschini, Wizardz, Old Khaki, Totalsports, Markham, Keedo, Poetry, G-Star and many more. Read more over here:
