Make this Decadent Hot Chocolate With Real Chocolate

This rich and creamy hot chocolate is easy to make, with dark chocolate giving it a more intense flavour.

There are a few ways to make hot chocolate, you can either use cocoa powder or real chocolate. This recipe uses real chocolate which not only adds to the flavour but also creates a velvety smooth texture.

Garnish with whipped cream, grated chocolate, or a few marshmallows for an extra-special chocaholics’ treat.

    Ingredients

    • 250 ml boiling milk

    • mini marshmallows

    • 50 ml thick cream, whipped

    • 80 grams dark chocolate

    Method

    • Grate two blocks of dark chocolate and set aside.
    • In a medium saucepan, bring the milk to a boil. Add the rest of the chocolate and stir until the chocolate has dissolved.
    • Remove from the heat and pour into a mug or glass of your choice.
    • Add the whipped cream on top.
    • Add a layer of marshmallows and then grated chocolate.
