How to make the perfect pie crust

After so many years of rolling out dough to make an oven bake pie crust, I stumbled across this recipe in my husband’s family recipe book.

It is easy, quick, tasty and will make any homemade pie taste like a store bought product.

This recipe makes enough dough for one medium sized pie.

Easy Bake Pie Crust

    Ingredients

    • 125 ml vegetable oil

    • 125 ml milk

    • 200 ml flour

    • 10 ml baking powder

    • salt

    • 1/2 teaspoon mixed herbs

    • 1 egg

    Method

    • Mix all the ingredients together with a hand whisk in a bowl. 
    • Pour the mixture over your already cooked  pie meat mixture in an oven proof dish. 
    •  Bake for 40 minutes at 160 degrees until light brown.

    Notes

    •  Cheese and onion rings can be used as garnish on top of the crust.
