After SuzelleDIY launched her new web series called Suzellphabet, SA’s favourite DIY specialist went on to share her favourite Easter hacks in her latest web episode.
As the country finds itself in a national lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak, Easter is looking a little bit different from previous years. Suzelle’s DIY hacks couldn’t have come at a better time.

Suzelle says that she shot the video before the coronavirus outbreak, and asks fans to join her in spreading some joy this Easter. Easter Sunday will be on 12 April this year.
“Easter during a lockdown? I know guys, not ideal, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get crafty and creative and make a few stunning Easter treats and decorations,” Suzelle said.
“Easter is one of my favourite holidays — yummy Easter eggs, the Easter bunny, hot cross buns, time spent with friends and family (maybe you can organise an Easter party over Skype or a WhatsApp video call. How’s that for a lockdown idea?) Watch the episode to get all my tips and tricks.”

- Egg yolks

- Custard
- Easter eggs
- Tennis biscuits
- Marshmallows

Watch: SuzelleDIY’s Easter hacks for 2020
After releasing the first episode of her series called Suzellphabet (which will be available every week), Suzelle teamed up with a very special guest – Japanese sushi chef, Papa San from Obi Sushi to make what she calls ‘boere sushi’.
Along with the video, Suzelle said:
“B is for ‘boere sushi’! Today we have a very special guest in the studio, Cape Town’s finest Japanese sushi chef, Papa San. We are making sushi South African style with my own added flourish.
