Super Rugby 2020 fixtures: Stormers vs Blues – prediction, teams, score and result
It wasn’t pretty, but the Stormers comfortably secured a fourth Super Rugby win on the bounce this season against the Jaguares last weekend. Now, they prepare for the Blues to visit Newlands on Saturday.
After John Dobson’s men ground out a 17-7 win over the Jaguares, the Blues beat the Bulls 23-21. They will be out to inflict similar misery on the hosts in Cape Town.
Dobson, meanwhile, is eager to keep his side’s newfound winning habit after a difficult 2019 under Robbie Fleck.
“I was frustrated last week [after the 33-30 win over the Lions] because I thought that we won the game with character,” Dobson said post-match, as quoted by SARugbyMag. “We are much happier tonight. It may not be so easy to see. Watching replays, yes, we had to grind it out but I thought our processes were much better.
“Our set piece was solid, our breakdown was superb, ball retention was good against a team that was going to hack the ball and make us start in our 22.”
