Baroka vs Orlando Pirates: Prediction, scores, kick-off time and head-to-head

Orlando Pirates scraped through their last PSL game 3-2 against Polokwane City. Now, they visit the Peter Mokaba Stadium to take on Rise and Shine’s rivals, Baroka FC.

Rhulani Mokwena’s men have not yet avenged last December’s Telkom Knockout final defeat to Bakgaga. Pirates, then under the guidance of Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević, drew 1-1 when they next faced Baroka in the league.

The Buccaneers have defensive issues to resolve, having conceded 18 goals in 12 league matches this season, but Mokwena has downplayed the significance of the problem.

“I think anyone that didn’t watch the match (against Polokwane City) and just saw the final score would think ‘goodness me Pirates have just scraped through’‚” said Mokwena, as quoted by SowetanLIVE.

“The reality is that we were in complete control for majority of the match. I don’t remember Wayne Sandilands having to make a save to be honest.

“But the reality is it is 3-2 and it’s another two goals conceded. Why? There’s a lot of factors to it.

“We’ve got to look into it deeply‚ not just to scratch the surface. We’ll have to go deeper because there’s a lot of other mitigating factors.”

Baroka have issues of their own and have only scored seven goals in 13 Premiership games, the joint least in the league this season.
