Temperature and UVB forecast
Gauteng:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to warm with scattered late afternoon showers and thundershowers.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers in the central parts but scattered in the south-western.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers, except in the east.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Fine becoming partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon thundershowers but scattered in the east. It will be cloudy in the extreme east at first.
Free State:
Temperature: Fine becoming partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon thundershowers but scattered in the east. It will be cloudy in the extreme east at first.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy but partly cloudy in the north-west and cool to warm, clearing in the north-west by the afternoon, otherwise partly cloudy with isolated thundershowers in the central and north-east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly. .
Western Cape:
Temperature:Fine over the western parts where it will be hot over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but cloudy in places in the morning, especially along the south coast where it will be cool.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly, but light to moderate along the south-coast in the morning.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain in the south but partly cloudy in the north, where isolated thunderstorms are expected.
The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to south-easterly.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Fog in places along escapement at first, otherwise cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the east. It will be cool along the coast.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected but scattered in the south and west.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to south-easterly becoming moderate to fresh north-easterly in the south by mid-morning.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
