Kaizer Chiefs vs Cape Town City saga: PSL ‘breaks silence’

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has FINALLY ‘broken its silence’ amid the ongoing debacle involving Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City.

The two teams were supposed to face each other on Saturday, 4 December at the FNB Stadium.

However, the match didn’t take place despite Cape Town City arriving at the venue as Chiefs said they were unable to host their opponents due to Covid-19.

Now, the debate was whether or not Chiefs would forfeit the three points to Cape Town City and whether or not the PSL would take action against the Glamour Boys.

In the aftermath of all the drama, the PSL has updated the log with Chiefs and Cape Town City still sitting on the same number of games and points as before the supposed match.

What this means is that the league hasn’t not ruled on the matter, meaning Chiefs and Cape Town City still have to wait a little longer to know their fate.
