FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central and northern interior of the Eastern Cape, the central parts of both the Northern Cape and Free State and the south-western parts of the North West.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east at first, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy to partly cloudy in the north at first, otherwise fine and warm.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east at first, otherwise fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in the west in the evening.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine in the east in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy, windy and warm with isolated thundershowers in the south-west spreading to the eastern parts during the afternoon and evening.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the south-east at first, otherwise fine and warm but cloudy and cool along the coast and adjacent interior.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-westerly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy and cold along the west and south-western coast with drizzle, otherwise fine and cool.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly, but moderate to fresh westerly along the south coast.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Cool in places along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated morning showers and thundershowers in the east, but fine in places in the afternoon.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-westerly, becoming south-westerly from the west from mid-morning, spreading to Port Alfred in the afternoon.

The Eastern half Temperature: Cloudy, windy and cool north of the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly, becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly from the south in the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy with isolated late afternoon and evening thundershowers in the south. It will be cool in places in the south-west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh easterly to north-easterly becoming strong at times.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
