Friday feel good: Former Springbok physio joins Lionel Messi at PSG!

Former Springbok physiotherapist, Dr Tanushree Pillay, has joined French football club Paris Saint-Germain.

According to the gsport4girls website, Pillay, who signed her official employment contract this week, made her rugby breakthrough at a women’s event in Bloemfontein when she assisted the Western Cape Sports Academy as a volunteer more than 15 years ago.

The now 40-year-old went on to spend several years working with the 2019 Rugby World Cup-winning Springboks.

She took to Instagram to share her views on joining PSG, writing: “Thankful for new beginnings and to have a new home with a great Club!”

Pillay will be working alongside football greats like new signing Lionel Messi, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe – and many more!
