DJ Lamiez Holworthy slams ‘fake Gucci’ police following Somizi saga
South African musician Lamiez Holworthy is not having it with the people who are supporting an Instagram account that points out celebs who allegedly wear fake luxury labels. The DJ recently slammed those who have taken it upon themselves to investigate the authenticity of other people’s clothing.
Lamiez Holworthy has no time for haters
Local DJ and radio host, Lamiez Holworthy did not mince her words when she headed to Instagram recently. The musician is seemingly fed up with people who are claiming that South African celebrities are wearing fake luxury brands such as Gucci, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton to name a few.
Lamiez’s strong words come after television personality Somizi was accused of rocking a fake Gucci bucket hat on an Instagram page called Fake Gucci Community SA.
While Somgaga stood up to the page owners by asserting that he had “worked very hard” to buy the Gucci gear while even sharing a clip of himself in a Gucci store, Lamiez has seemingly taken it upon herself to shut down those who are trolling Mzansi’s luxury-loving celebrities.

In an Instagram live post, the Live Amp presenter told those who are claiming celebs are wearing counterfeit goods that just because they don’t like a certain celeb, doesn’t make their clothes fake, reports OkMzansi.
“Just because you don’t like someone won’t make their designer gear automatically fake my babe.”
A true “cotton eater”
After taking a quick look through the metro FM DJ’s social media profiles, it’s easy to see why she was catching feelings over the whole fake Gucci profile. A number of snaps, clips and stories are dedicated to her wearing one or the other expensive luxury brand.
It seems Lamiez doesn’t have a favourite when it comes to these brands as she is always rocking either Gucci, Louis Vuitton, or Chanel. Take a look at some snaps of her in her expensive outfits below:
