JINGLES HAS BELLS RINGING ALL OVER AFRICA

After winning a record 5 PSL titles with Sundowns and coaching ‘the Brazilians’ to a maiden CAF Champions League Final, Mosimane continued his success in Egypt this year.

His move to Al Ahly was all over the news and with it carried the weight of the entire Egyptian nation. This only seemed to aid his success as he has become a hero in Egypt while waving the South African flag.

‘Jingles’ joined Africa’s most successful club. It could not have started better with Mosimane’s side claiming bronze in Qatar.

A campaign that saw him noticed on an international level. In the process, he became the first-ever South African to win a medal at the FIFA Club World Cup. This is added to his monumental campaign with Sundowns in 2016 where he became the first coach to lead a South African to success in the CAFCL.

This was followed up this year after Al Ahly secured the 2020/21 CAF Champions league after defeating Chiefs 3-0 in the final.

Although Mosimane’s Al Ahly were responsible for the heartbreak of both Sundowns and Chiefs. South Africans will be proud of his history and record-making season. They eliminated Chiefs after a 3-1 aggregate victory in the quarter-finals earlier in the competition.
