Funeral details for ex-Orlando Pirates striker and PSL coach Ian Palmer confirmed

Details for the funeral of late former Orlando Pirates striker Ian Palmer have been confirmed.

Ian Palmer sadly died last week at the age of 55 due to a Covid-19 related illness.

The former Buccaneers forward, who also held a CAF A Licence, coached a number of teams in the PSL, including Black Leopards, Chippa United and Maritzburg United.

His career was cut short after a kidney ailment and underwent a kidney transplant in 2016.

According to Kickoff he will be laid to rest in Riverlea, Johannesburg on Tuesday.

According to a statement released by football agency, P Management, the funeral service will be held at the St John’s Baptist Church, starting at 10:00 and will be streamed live on Facebook.

Palmer is survived by his wife Lila and three children – Chesney, Keone and Kayden Palmer.
