These three men will have to be at their best if Chiefs are to make club history:
ERICK MATHOHO
Mathoho was a brick wall on defence when these two sides met in Morocco. His partnership with Njabulo Blom could be the difference between a first ever CAF Champions league final and heartbreak. He will have read the opposition forwards’ movements in the box and stay composed too.
Mathoho is very experienced. He will be the leader at the back and will have to bring calm to the blossoming Blom.

NJABULO BLOM
Blom has started to peak at the right time. He joined Mathoho in the CAF Champions League Team of the Week after last weekend’s match.
They will need more of the same and even better with Wydad looking to equalise early.
‘Stoppa‘ has started to show why he earned that nickname and was called up to the senior squad at such a young age. He will look to Mathoho for guidance. Blom will have to be disciplined and cannot afford any reckless challenges in the box.
There is a huge weight on the youngster’s shoulders and how he deals with this could go a long way in determining this year’s finalists.

BRUCE BVUMA
The shot-stopper has become a local hero after his heroic displays in the two recent CAF Champions League ties. He is likely to start against Wydad. Bvuma was in tears and on his knees in jubilation as sheer passion overcame him at the final whistle.
He made several huge saves and kept a vital clean sheet away from home.
The Chiefs ‘keeper has grown into a quality shot-stopper who is agile, has great reflexes and looks composed in goal.
If he can put in another huge display in goal, Chiefs will book their place in the final of Africa’s premier club tournament for the first time.
Chiefs are potentially just 90 minutes away from a maiden CAF Champions League final. If these three men perform well then club history will be made.
Kick-off is at 18:00 SA time.
